Facilities Management

Facilities Management at the University of Arizona supports and maintains the basic infrastructure of our properties.

  • We manage electrical power to the buildings, as well as heating and cooling.
  • We maintain the grounds, trimming, planting and irrigating the myriad of plants we have growing on campus.
  • Our custodians keep buildings and classrooms clean, and we're the ones who clean the football stadium after each game.
  • We paint the campus as needed, and create the signs that identify buildings and rooms.
  • Our electricians, carpenters, and plumbers fix what is broken and construct what is needed.
  • We provide locks and keys to the entire campus.
  • Our garage coordinates vehicle purchases and maintains the university fleet of vehicles, including a rental fleet.
  • We coordinate the recycling efforts on campus and provide recycling containers and pickup to departments.
  • We help coordinate events on the mall, setting up and removing tables and chairs, as well as providing electricity as needed.
  • Our electricians are at every basketball and football game to ensure that the PA system, the score board and the time clock are functioning properly.
